What to feed Anthias fish???
 

Just purchased an Anthias from my LFS. Does anyone know what these guys will eat besides mystis shrimp? I read if you only feed them Shrimp they will eventually lose color. I forgot what kind he is but he is Bright pink with a yellow head and tail and a purple tint on the lower fins. Thanks for any feedback or help. I know they like to eat 3-4 times a day.

they will eat most small meaty foods in the water column, however some species are more finicky than others also some will eat pellets and flakes as well...a varied diet will be healthier and bring out better coloration...

looks like a female Resplendent...is it eating?...they can be alittle difficult to start eating....start it off with smaller foods like baby brine, cyclopeez and NutraMar Ova then gradually introduce larger foods like mysis etc..GL

Just found out from the LFS that it is a Tierra Anthias and yes he only eats mystis shrimp so far but I just got him yesterday :)
