Clown Fish Turning Black????Is this normal?
My clown fish is turning darker and darker as time passes by. It started out being completely orange with the normal clown fish marks.
I changed to feeding my tank to Ocean Nutrition Formula Two Marine Pellets. Could this be why? Or do clowns sometimes naturally turn darker in color? It was extremely small when I got it, and you can see that it didn't even have its last stripe in the way back. It is about half way grown in now. Is it healthy? Here are some pics: When I first got it http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...1_P4140801.jpg Now http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/IMG_0929.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/IMG_0927.jpg |

It is definitely happy and healthy. Someone suggested that it might be an onyx. Anyone know if this clown has the characteristic look on an onyx?
|

Wow! that does look EXACTLY what its colors and patterns are shaping into.
Sweet! I got it for a great price too :) |
How much?
Where from? |
I got it for around $15 in a Stamford fish store that was on High Ridge Road but I think it went out of business now. They gave me a CTARS group member discount from $20 or $25.

In my professional opinion the fish is just catching a tan. I suggest you switch out your lights for standard fluorescents, or potentially incandescent if the problem doesnt resolve.

It DOES stay at the very top of the tank all the time. Maybe some sun screen will do the trick, JK. |
