pairing a diamond goby
The Gulfarium on Okaloosa Island here has diamond gobies breeding in their 46,000g (something like that big) living sea that is set up as a reef. There are many other fish pairing up and breeding including watchman gobies and lawnmower blennies, but the diamonds interest me the most since I already have one. Is there a way to sex them so I can get a second one in hopes that they pair up?

Many gobies do the sex change routine. With the diamond gobies I would look for a smaller one to add to the existing one. Be sure there is lots of independent cover so they don't beat each other up before sorting it out.

Sweet. Based on the breeding size I see at the Gulfarium, mine is not fully grown and I know they often sell smaller ones. the tank is a 125g. Do you know which gender they start as? I'd love to find some info i can print out.

Anyone know what gender they start as?

i tried without success on pairing them, the only success I had was buying a pair that stuck close to each other at the fish store and they stayed that way in my tank as well 120g. Until a tang chased the larger one to his doom :(
