Dark Tank Sleeping Leopard wrasse
I recently had the power cord for my light short out (thankfully I was home when it happened) I've ordered a new one, but my tank has been dark the last few days and will continue to stay dark for the next few days until the new cord gets here. I only have a few corals various euphyllia, mushrooms and zoas hopefully they recover once the lights come back on. For the most part I'm not really concerned except I have a blue star leopard wrasse that hasn't come out of the sand the last couple days I'm fairly certain it's due to the tank being dark because she had been fairly active all along and she has been in the tank for about 6 months. Should I be concerned about her hiding for that long? It may be the middle of next week before the new light arrives.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If she gets hungry she'll be out. When I put the second one in my tank she hid for at least a couple weeks. Now they are out and about from sunup to sundown.

I recently added one to my tank, right now it only comes out to feed, I think it's mostly due to my female clown that I've had for over ten years.

Last couple times I've done a couple days with lights out to combat algae, my leopard sleeps right through it.

She's out and about again, just took a few days for her to adjust to the darker lighting situation.

My leopard stayed in the sand for 3weeks when I added it.

Every lights out of I've done purposely or through a power outage my melanurus buries itself until the lights come back. Seems the sand sleeping wrasses tend to do that.

my blue star is the same way, up when its light out, including sun shine, but as soon as its dark...she's gone. I love that fish more then any I have ever had though. They are incredibly beautiful
