RMS mount material and water level?

Guys, just bought a Cade shallow tank that came with 2 XR15 Pro G3 lights and RMS mounts. The tank is rimless and the light mounts by design protrude 2 inches down into the tank from the lip. That is a fair bit given the tank is only 11 inches deep in total.

The current water level set by the teeth on the overflow box is a bit over 1 inch and the previous owner didn't seem worried about the mounts in the water. I might be wrong but the bottom of the mount could to be diecast aluminium but could be some kind of resin. There is no corrosion on the mounts and there was actually some coralline on the inch that was submerged.

Can I please get some clarification on manufacturers material please? Given these are going to be VERY close to the water on most tanks and would almost certainly get the odd splash it would be odd to make them out of any potentially corrosive material. Its only the one piece that comes into contact with water. Eagerly waiting an answer. I really don't want to have to use arms and hanging kits on these lights.

On the plus side I cannot wait to get a Reefllink and use these lights and the Vectra pump I picked up with it as well.

Not sure on material, but I've had salt spray all over a mount that I have over my sump. Perhaps some very light corrosion on the screw (after years of salt creep), but no issues with the black part.
