Gorilla Glue for Corals.

Question about Gorilla Glue (the original stuff). Have you used it? If not is it because it doesn't work or because it is toxic. I would really like to know.

The regular Gorilla Glue now comes in a clear drying formulation. All I can confirm is that it is a Polyurethane Adhesive.

They also make a Super Glue Gel, which is the same as Super Glue (Ethyl Cyanoacrylate adhesive( but it's the same as Super Glue.

I have used the Gorilla Super Glue with no issues. But I think the Gorilla Glue would be even better (It needs moisture to activate). I would like to try it but not until I have some assurance that it would not be toxic in the tank.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

i dont think theres a problem using the regular glue if youre glueing dry pieces together and adding to water later.

the gel is the one to use, you can glue frags and rocks underwater

I would not use this in an aquarium.

Dont forget, safe or not, it expands and is unsightly in the tank. I stick to crazy glue because it is small, powerful, and usually isn't a mess unless I mess it up. I guess if your using it to cement rock work before adding to the tank, its likely ok, but it could still show through.

+1 on the superglue and it cures almost instantly when it gets submerged in water.

I use the gorilla super glue gel. Works great and way cheaper than the other brands. I get it at Home Depot for around $5 for 20 gram tube. Also the cap has a needle in it so no clogging up.

I would go with the trusted super glue.
