Apex PAR meter is installed, it's reading 142 at a depth of 30". Light is Reefbreeders photon V2. Light is at 30% and corals are all happy .. except a sea fan that is turning dark. Thoughts on PAR?

142 at 30" seems excessive but only one number is hardly worth commenting on...
A map of light distribution would be better I guess..

Agree, try to get a spread at different depths. If nothing else get several at the 30" depth for a range.

Yeah it'd be pretty hard to get any reading other than the one I'm getting now. It would pretty much tear my rockwork up moving it. I didn't think about multiple readings prior to placement. I did look on Reefbreeders website and they had a map and it showed a PAR of 325 at 24" with the light 8" off the top of the water. My light is only a few inches off the surface. Makes me believe my reading.

I would move that par rock to where it is accessable. Not going to do much good down 30", imo.

Agree with getting multiple readings from the tank, that's a pretty pricey piece of equipment for just one reading in one location.
