Does any body know when Apex will come out new touch and color screen in the future? It's already year 2011.

I haven't heard of anything like that even rumored to be in the works. Frankly, I'd rather see a full family of official apps for smartphones and tablets.

Stick an iPod Touch to your wall with some double sided tape, and you've got one. ;)

If anything, they're moving away from a display. Nobody wants them, few use it. It's nice to have when you lose your network connection but people configure routers without them...

kind of a PITA to have to break out your iphone to see the temp or to turn off the pumps for feeding... I think most of the display features are worthless, but you got to have it... Not enough room for all your icons. A bigger one with a touch would be great...

+1 on display .. a bigger one with better icons. I agree to look for phone to active feed ors see temp would be a pain.

How much are you willing to spend for a color touchscreen display?

Yeah in all seriousness it would be A LOT. Apple, for instance, can buy parts millions at a time, so they get a big discount. And they are able to spread out the initial development costs over tens of millions of units sold. DA would have to charge a lot to make a profit on something like this.

Joking aside, you'd honestly be best off mounting an iPod touch or an iPad to your wall and then bugging DA about continuing to improve the web interface. Or find somebody to write an iOS app to create the display screen layout that you want.
