Shallow reef tank Tank rebuild!

Hi everyone I am redoing my tank and I'm going to try and keep track of it on here. The tank is a 8'x 24"x 14" tall acrylic.. It has coast to coast overflow with three 1.5" drain lines. The pics are from about 2 years ago when things were going great. Most stuff died so I'm redoing things and here we go! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...39e49a9ac2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0e457b7ed8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0931532f9c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b83c0db193.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2e5fa94151.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...61ed45e45c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d4cba483be.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2d3e9f5e4b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6f695604ed.jpg

Got some of the rocks put together, then I will somewhat build the closed loop around them to make sure everything has good flowhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5abbb275f0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0ebd94ac7c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...62fd4fed18.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b41a23bff9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6116029356.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...110d758091.jpg

Started adding the outlets today, 8 of them will be on their own switch split up between two circuits. And a third circuit running some regular outlets. All switches will be grouped together at one side of the sump. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d2d897ddff.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...27b50fca8a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fe1ef08042.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ba10c8d39e.jpg

No pics of coral yet, but I got the wire ran from the switches to the outlets and started putting up drywall. Maybe tomorrow, adding a tee to the main sewer line so all water changes, skimmer waste, and ro waste will be tied into that line. Getting therehttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...388bd933c2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...068834ba36.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...52c3e74796.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...751925ccdc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a407a2ca5a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d43d5aebf1.jpg

Nice build. Circuits were a huge part in my current build. I went so far as to upgrade my panel to accommodate my new basement sump room build.

Thanks I agree. I've always used multiple circuits. I know 4 power strips plugged into one outlet can't be good, haha. Not that I never did it in the past. I also try and keep my outlets above my tank.

Got the drywall up and first coat of mud on. Wired in the switches and most of the outlets today. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d778ebcfcc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...875874b22a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...07cadd4058.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d4eef270f1.jpg

I used these boxes when I realized I didn't plan the layout keeping them above the water line.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...adf8b200c6.jpg

I almost got those, I think I planned it where the ones I have will work, but if not I'll get the one like you have.

Got the pump where it's going to sit, drilled one of the lids for the (x3) 1.5" drainlines and cut lid to access the socks. Next, to add a frag tank inside the sump as part of it, some water will go through frag section, the rest will flow behind it, all flow is from left to right. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...432a695cc4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7e8080b704.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...790e4c1a78.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1a45cee6fd.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fa42a47848.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...640e6cda9f.jpg

Got the frag tank built inside the sump. It's 4' x 13"deep x 11" tall. There will be live rock behind it in the main part of the sumphttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0e5fd116f9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2909a7463c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d80d8f3616.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...62201b1a27.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6470e74352.jpg
