Copper and rock
I have a 5g bucket of rock (dried now) that was used in a tank that had been treated with copper. Is there anything I can do to rid the rock of copper, or would I just be better off tossing it?

I would toss it, most likely, but if you're willing to treat it with enough muriatic acid, you probably can dissolve the layer of rock that has copper in it. If you'd like to try, add 1 part muriatic acid to 10 parts water. I'd work outside: the fumes are toxic. A good pair of goggles and acid-resistant gloves would be a good idea, too. A 20 minute dip probably would be enough.

Not worth the effort - thanks!

You're welcome. I probably wouldn't bother, either.
