Reef Feeding
 

I'd like to feed my corals. I don't have the time to devote to spot feeding, turning off pumps, etc. Is there a good food that can just be added to the tank that will carry with the currents?

Can you be more specific about what kind of corals you are wanting to feed? It makes a difference in what you use for food.

The ones I am concerned about are candy canes and rics. There isn't a problem, just want to start getting some good growth.

I feed mine with reefroids and cyclop-eeze freeze dried

And you don't shut down the pumps/PH's? You just let it float? Have you noticed a difference?

Invertebrate Banquet is good.

Or/and you can use the ever popular green phytoplankton. Corals love them and readily respond to it. But this item needs to be refrigerated and bottle shaken occasionally.

I like to feed them the kent marine food...I forget the name but you can look it up on their site.

Yes I do shut down the pump with my aquacontroller II. I have the aquanote system over the laptop and just need to click on feed and the pumps stops for three minutes and then resume.

I've tried a bunch of different foods with my candy canes corals but I've haven't found anything they like yet. Though, I've never tried green phytoplankton.. might have to give that a try..

I've used DT's. Never noticed a big difference.
