Water pump

Can anyone suggest a pump to run up say at least 12 feet to my tank if I mix up my saltwater in the basement? Looking at the sedras but so many options.
Other than the obvious is there anything else when looking into a pump? Thanks.

AC use Iwaki, panflow blueline, ect ect

DC take your pick, they are all about as reliable/inreliable as each other. But for 12' you will need a large DC pump.

for that height if you went jeboa id use a dcp 18000. A 10000 would not work for you, it does for my 8'-9' its better to buy large and turn down.

10 feet is what I measure so I prefer to go 12 just in case. I've not looked at the DC ones yet but i doubt if i have to go there.

I took a perfectly good Iwaki 55md and went with a DC pump, here is why.

Iwaki used 190 W
Jeboa uses 50 W

At that rate the DC pump pays for itself in less than a years use in electrical savings.

Saving 140W running 24/7 at 16c kwh is a huge amount of money over a decade.

They are good pumps for your size of tanks. Mine is only a 40 gallon so I'm looking at the A.C. ones for the amount of use i will be using.
