27 clowns in the same tank 27 months

Well, my babies are growing up. They are hard to count but I don't think I've lost any. I have seen one that looked a little less vibrant than the others but upping the feeding seemed resolve the issue.

GREAT, Love that 2nd pic

Most of the Percs are small for their age. A few are 2 and a half inches but some are still only an inch big. You can see the guy who had issues in the following picture. He wasn't one of the smallest fishes so it must have been a dominance thing.

the fish are huge :)

SPARTAN VI 11/27/2007 04:01 PM

Hey that's really neat. I like the 2nd stripe on that one in the top left in the above picture. :)

SNAKEMANVET 11/27/2007 04:01 PM

That is cool to see that many clowns in one tank, how much longer will you keep them in that tank.

no plans on ever changing the tank. I have it on VERY wet skim direct to house sewage and top off with salt water. Nitrates are at around 5.

earlier shots for those who missed them:

I wouldn't want to mess around in that tank, my 2 clowns are enough for me, trying to bite when you get too close to their overflow box.

REEFING_FIEND 11/27/2007 06:08 PM

WOW, thats all i can say

timrandlerv10 11/27/2007 06:53 PM

THAT'S WHAT I WANT!!!

Awesome man, congrats.

i'm aiming on doing exactly that when my gsm spawns...hopefully by then i'll have 4 or 8 nems instead of two :)

InLimbo87 11/27/2007 06:57 PM

Beautiful! They all look very happy :D

Slakker 11/27/2007 07:18 PM

Wow The color on those nems is amazing. What lighting/spectrum are they under?

all Rose and Green tipped bta's under under three 400 watt 20K XM single ended metal halide with two 160 watt VHO super actinics.

Probably 20 to 25 anemones.

thanks again for looking and the kind remarks.

Danny07204 11/28/2007 11:17 AM

AWESOME!!

davocean 11/28/2007 11:52 AM

That's one of the most beautiful tanks I've ever seen!
Killer pics.
It's so nice/refreshing to see a tank chock full of nems as opposed to the typical sps tanks(not that those aren't cool too)

raleej337 11/28/2007 03:31 PM

All I can say is a big "WOW!"

I'll do the same when I upgraded my tank.

MarinaP 11/28/2007 03:48 PM

Congrats, Mona.

Your tank and clowns look great.

Are RBTAs and GBTAs clones from two single parents or did you add more after initial setup?

Attention: Folks who are new to this hobby. Do not try this at home. Mona is very experienced and raised those babies herself.

EMBRYOGUY 11/28/2007 03:58 PM

by far, one of my fav. threads :) great work. :)

Mikigo 11/28/2007 04:01 PM

Are they with the parents? Do you have several females in the mix? Incredible.

reefman13 11/28/2007 04:06 PM

This is amazing! I absolutely love it! Keep it up!
