That is sweet! How did you do that!?

afamousjohnson 04/24/2012 01:01 AM

Time, dry rock, aquascaping mortar, zipties, and 1000000 angles.haha
It ended up being a sweet build. The suspended shelves off of the over flow I ziptied and really didn't even need to of mortared but I disguised them with it. The middle structure is all one piece with 3 off set tiered shelves( a lot of bracing). I should have integrated in dowels but I didn't go that direction. I left the 2 shelves on the far right removable for access reasons I used that dead coral as a spike brace so its sits in there real good.
Glad ya like it.

Sump at pickup. What a mess.

afamousjohnson 04/27/2012 10:55 AM

Got it all cleaned up and new. Decided the sump after completly taking apart and cleaning that it wasn't big enough for the system so went with a different tank I had in the garage

Now to build a sump

afamousjohnson 04/27/2012 11:23 AM

1st design was flawed due to water levels so redid. Do it right first or make it right before its to late. Pic wont upload but you'll see it in later pics. 3 chamber 2 baffle- skimmer, fuge, return.
