recommended clean up crew
for 34 gallon reef
|
On new tanks I generally start with a smaller cleanup crew and add to it as the algae and detritus levels naturally rise.
For starters I would go with 6 Nassarius snails assuming you have a sand bed, 4 Asterea snails (I love these guys except they cannot right themselves if they fall over, you have to flip them upright yourself), 6 Trochus snails and 6 Nerite snails. |
the only place to go:

A great place to deal with. I have ordered from them a few times, and have never had any problems. Always very friendly and helpful. If you do order from them, ask them to take it easy on the Dwarf Cerith's. They always throw in a few more than expected lol. Happy Reefing  |
i agree with comment above, just buy a few snails of different kind. buy more as needed.

Reef Cleaners is a great place to get them from. I recommend the Nerite snails over any other, they are extremely hardy and do an excellent job at cleanup.
