Planning on keeping mostly small fishes except for 1 purple tang.

Here is what Im planning to keep:
1 PT
2 Banggai Cardinals
2 Perculas
1 Royal Gramma
1 Sunburst Anthias
and some other small schooling fishes like apogons (if I can find some).

Is 30x30x18 LxWxH?
+1 on small fishes, planning to keep smaller fishes too in my 92 gallon 31x31x22 cube. Couple of big tangs that get 1'+ vs. lots of colorful "nano" fish. For me a obvious choice.

Nice clean looking setup, beautiful. What is that light stand made out of? Did you make it, is it custom, or is it an off the shelf item? It gives me a few ideas.

Yep that is LXWXH. Cool! I'll have the final fish list once the tank is ready! So for now its just a temporary fish list! :)

Tank and cab is custom built. The light stand is made of metal tubular bars welded together and painted with epoxy based acrylic paint to avoid rusting. Whats your tank?

Thanks bro! Its actually also adjustable so I can raise it up or lower it in case its either too high or too low. Still have to check the temp. :D

Do you plan to dose anything, VSV etc? Where did you get the reflector for your halides?

flying_dutchman 10/01/2009 10:19 PM

My fishlist plan at the moment, to give you some ideas.
- pair purple firefish
- rainfords goby
- tailspot blenny
- school of some cardinal, either orange line or longspine.
- pair of clowns
- red head goby / or hectors goby
- dwarf angel/ or convict tang/ or Bristletooth Tomini Tang (Ctenochaetus tominiensis)
I'm not sure if I will get all of them, I'll just see what's the limit

Got the reflector from a local reefer who imports equipments. Planning to dose kalk through ATO. Aside from that I will just do regular water changes. maybe 20% every week.

As for the fishes, I would prefer to have smaller fishes so as to make the tank look huge.

shandy_say 10/01/2009 10:45 PM

I forgot...will also be putting 1 six line wrasse in the in-line frag tank. heheh!

cubsare1 10/01/2009 10:53 PM

that is great!! I love the dimensions. Could you get some more pictures, I want to see the depth (front to back). Thanks

Sweet tank! I just got my 30x30x24 from the builder. My design is very similar to yours. I'm going to be using a Vortech MP40w and a Tunze 6025 for circulation until I can afford another Vortech. Both will be mounted on the back panel.

tas5tas 10/03/2009 07:59 PM

Everything looks great!!! The only thing I would do different is change the reflector for a Lumenbright pendant. I love the sleek design of the tank and stand.
