How do i know when my bubble tip anemone is dead?
I was just wondering how you would tell if your anemone is dead instead of stressed out?

You will know when it is dead, the anemone will turn to a white mush, release a milky substance from its corpse and will not smell all too pleasant.

It falls apart. Chunks come off of it. And, as noted above, it stinks to high heaven if you lift it out of the water...

What about if it is dying? What will it do before it dies?

There are signs when an anemone is not doing well such as deflating for frequently for extended periods of time.

The unfortunate one and only anemone (it was a BTA) that I've ever had, when it was at death's doorstep, had become very bleached, had shrunk in size and stopped expanding, and had very shriveled tentacles and a gaping, loose mouth. Overall, it looked loose and "flabby"--very floppy and sickly, kind of like a bean bag with most of the stuffing gone. I've seen other anemones in stores that were dying and they had much the same look. They almost look like they're melting.
