Female bullys the male p. parvirostris?

I have 3 females and 1 male.....I believe.

What looks like the male hides away from the group of 3 when I first got them in. They are in a 90 gallon QT w/ PVC and a pair of Pink Margin Wrasses.

I've been catching one of the females chasing the male and other females. What's going on?

Is this normal hierarchy behavior and will settle out?

she will likely kill him and assume the position as male. thats why ppl usually suggest that you get all females so they can sort it out. when you get a male it is likely an aggressive female who will battle for this position

Thank you dadonoflaw. Is there any way that maybe the male that is being picked on is not a full male? If that is the case, will it work itself out?

Is it doomed to turn out that the male will be killed? At what point do I find another home for the male? Thus far, everyone gets to eat.

The male Pink Margin is the boss of the entire tank. He chases all of them. He does this in short bursts, not persistent.

it may but it usually doesnt. you will have to monitor him to see if he is showing signs of abuse or other tell tell signs. how often is he chased? is it costant or every once and a while
