Paired false preculas and a two new black preculas
 

Need info on clown fish ..
So i have a 55 gallon reef tank with paired false preculas and a clear see trough divider splitting the tank in half. Black clown fish on one side and false preculas on the other side. so i just added the black clowns ones a little bigger then the other.I was wondering if one will still change into a female even knowing the other side of the tank is occupied by the false preculas mated pair.
Guess what im getting at is there's a female in the tank as it is and is view able by the other fish. As far as i know both black clowns are male juveniles picked from a group of 6 from my LFS. Id appreciate some feed back thanks!

A lot of debate on what they are as juveniles in a pack, most believe sexually undeveloped, but regardless.

Several things. One the Darwins. Just because there were a lot on the tank does not mean they were all males. Even in tanks of many, several will quickly form a dominate relationship and then males will follow, then the rest will stay undeveloped. You need to watch a pack of them to identify who is who, then make your selection.

Then if you selected two females, then it will be battle royal until one dies.

Now, as for adding another pair of Ocellaris, yes B&W are Ocellaris as well, you are creating another battle once and if you remove the divider.

If you want more than one pair of clowns, get several tanks. It may be weeks, months or years, but at one point, one pair will die.
