Haha i like it how the tank has an overflow but isnt actually drilled. Decieving! I like it
|
lol...thanks youngreefa,i'm glad you like it:)
It's drilled but i put some taps and closed the holes. It did work with a sump for 2 or three months but then i thought to give it a try the way it works now.I was happy with the results and i left it that way. Maybe some day in the future i'll plug the sump again Oh...and i saw the thread you opened concerning the tanks that use kalk;) I use kalk on a daily base(about 3 litres) |
Awesome! Biggest AIO tank ever, LOL! That Aquilles is friggin gorgeous, one of my favorite fish. I just wish they came in dwarf variety :D
|
Love the achillies! What did you do as far as quarantine for him? Also how many gallons is your system? Looks great
|
Quote:
I absolutely love him and achilles is the reason i got into our hobby, rovster:) i wish that also my friend, that way i wouldn't have to worry about him getting too big for this tank(maybe it's a good excuse to go bigger :p) Quote:
i'm glad you like it:) If i'm not wrong with calculation,it's about 170 gallons. I didn't quarantine him,he went into the tank straight from the shipping bag,the day he came to my lfs. Before that the tank was fishless for about one month+ He never got one ick spot except one cloudy eye that, thank god, went away in a couple of days |
And some top down shots, sorry for the bad quallity but i'm a lame photographer:(

|
Thank you very much diciple!
Hahaha no i still love the conviniences that sump has to offer.I still have the one i used at the start, just in case.I unplugged it because the overflow was making a lot of noise and i wanted to make an experiment. It kind of worked and left it that way Maybe some day i'll plug it again:) here are the photos you requested The return pump which at the moment is working as a water movement pump http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps9021b580.jpg skimmer, tunze 9002 http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps384abda6.jpg and a top down where you can see the heater, the float valve and skimmer :) http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/a...psad003055.jpg Thanks one ore time;) |
Love your corals.
Do you have a list of all the types of corals you have? |
Nice tank and great looking corals. That Achilles is really nice.
|
Quote:
Unfortunatelly i don't have a list:( Some of them are montipora encrusting-danae,undata,superman,sunset Montipora spongodes, green, blue and red plate monti digitata pink and red Milles pink, green, blue and sunset. Some staghorns(blue, green) formosa, plana, nana, bonsai, secale, horrida, aculeus, abrotanoides, reverse strawberry, tenuis,,granulosa and many other that i really don't have a clue what they are:) There are 59 different sps but at least half of them are still relatively small.Sometimes i think that it might be best for me and the tank to make a top 25-30,keep only this number of acros and let them overgrow the tank. Maybe also go minimalist on aquascaping and put the sand back:uhoh2: Quote:
I apreciate it:thumbsup: |
I had this aquascape for 2+ and i thought it was time for some changes.
I'll change the scape and i ended with two setups The first one http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5323/9...e946a284_z.jpg Απο 698 by mad23_, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7292/9...bca592a1_z.jpg Απο 697 by mad23_, on Flickr And the second one which i preffer i bit more http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5458/9...03a073c3_z.jpg Απο 703 by mad23_, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7331/9...f93cc8dd_z.jpg Απο 700 by mad23_, on Flickr what do you think guys? |

Thanks guys for the kind words, they mean a lot!! I'll update with photos in the next few days, after the changes with the scape. |
Do you think it might look a little more dramatic if the two live rock mounds were *ALMOST* touching, rather than having a completed arch?
|
dude your tank looks gorgeous. Im surprised you dont have more fish lol. i would
