Hi guys,

I currently have a Sea Whip in my marine tank, had it a good year or so now, just wondering the best way to fragg it and if it was possible? any suggestions would be a massive help!

Thanks

Would be nice frags to have. Thank goodness it's not nps.

In the past I've taken a cutting of a gorgonian, stripped the tissue off a small length of the axis, then glued the barren axis into a hole drilled in a frag plug/cube. In the laboratory I used to work in, we even zip-tied gorg frags to stainless steel nails driven into the reef.

IMO the easiest way would be to superglue the end of small pieces into crevices of LR rubble.

Really easy to frag gorgs. As above just cut the piece you want off the mother colony and strip back a bit of the tissue showing the central gorgon skeleton. I then normally surround this with some putty but you can drill a small hole in some rock and glue it in. It looks neater and the frag should base out around this fairly quickly.
The species you have lends itself to fragging really well so good luck.

Thanks guys, sorry for the late reply. Had a major bacteria issue in the tank, and lost all but one of my fish, corals survived and seem to have benefited from this.
Will get back to the fragging, and thanks again!

Also what is the best tool to use?
