ricordea florida changing color

Hi reefers,

My tank is about 2 months old. I have some LPS coral frags and some shrooms. They are doing well for about a month now. Some showing new growth.
I have this ricordea florida it has orange, blue and green at the edge, it also has green mouths. In fact it has two mouths. It seems to extend more and more every week. The concern I have is that its changing its orange color to more green/brown. Is this normal? Is this any sign of any issue?

Just to note, I am fighting against algae outbreak so my photo period and light intensity is low. Also have phosguard and chemi pure blue running. 32g biocube with natural sea water.

Thank you for looking into this.

Differing light levels as well as nutrient issues can cause color changes/issues for sure..

I am planning to work on both. Since my algae issue I did reduce photo period and also have phosguard. I see my hammer also not liking the phosguard. I removed and saw improvement. I am going to start red sea reef energy to get some nutrients.

You'll have corals change color when adding to your tank sometimes. You don't have an issue from what I can gather. Just responding to different conditions of your tank whether it's lighting and/or nutrient levels.
