What the heck are these?

The threads in this forum are created by member blogs. Anytime a member creates a new blog entry, a thread is created in this forum. This does a few things:
  • It makes blog entries searchable
  • New blog entries are visible via the "Get New" function

The blogs are a great place to start a build thread or tank log and avoid getting lost in the group in some of the main forums. To read, comment or subscribe to a blog entry, just follow the link in each post.

This is cool!

KonaBear 11/26/2011 11:05 PM

can anyone start a blog here?

Dino 11/27/2011 06:52 AM

I believe you need to be a premium member to start a blog. You should be able to reply to one without premium membership though :).

KonaBear 11/27/2011 01:37 PM

possibly a dumb question, but how do you become a premium member?

cheers

BlueCorn 11/27/2011 04:47 PM

Not a dumb question at all.

Me too. I was reading some and I think is like an online diary. I can't figure out the advantage of this over a normal thread.

dc 09/24/2013 09:09 AM

Well they're fun for some of us. ;)

SantaMonica 10/10/2013 08:47 PM

I think they were saying that an advantage is they are searchable. Maybe "more" searchable somehow.

Cu455 10/16/2013 06:52 PM

Bryopsis 10/16/2014 06:29 AM

These posts don't make sense... Seems like advertising.

FraggledRock 02/03/2015 02:55 PM

How do I post a blog entry?

I guess if you follow a particular member and find their advice useful, if they had a bank of info and advice they "blogged" about, itll make it easier to find rather then search their entire thread list?

Hi BlueCorn - I posted here and can only see it when logged in. I'm a new member. Is there a delay or some kind of approval until my post is up?

mhurley 08/18/2016 02:03 PM

I approved your post. New user threads go into a manual moderation queue as an anti-spam technique. You should see it now.

rossim 07/01/2020 09:47 AM

I have a blog where I'm documenting my tank. Is there still a way to link those updates here?

You could put a link to your blog in your signature line.
