Anemone sucked into powerhead
So our anemone used to look like this
http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...psb6f7ac23.jpg We went away for New Year's Eve, and came home to find our anemone had made it's way to the opposite side of the 6 foot tank and sucked into our powerhead. We managed to take apart the powerhead and get the anenome out. It lost it's color...turned white and shrunk. It has spent the last 4 months in the back of the tank hiding. A few days ago, it returned to it's original spot (which is now on the bottom of a cave with 2 rbta's above it...it's kind of nice, the clowns have their choice between the 3 anemones and the gsp in between). This is what it looks like now.. http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...ps49c4e5c6.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...psee966042.jpg Have any of you had an anemone get sucked into the powerhead and survive? Did it ever return to it's original beauty? |
I had one survive the FIRST time. Then the sucker grew back to its original size and did it again 8 months later. Some just have a death wish.

How do you prevent that from happening again? What kind is he? Long tentacle? Poor guy....he got quite the haircut!!
How did that affect the rest of your tank? Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk 2 |
About 3-4 months. First few days were touch and go.
