Are 4 fire fish in the dt ok?

I have a75g with cb angel, Marine betta, a clown fish. And corals....

I'm about to get red fire fish and purple fire fish, each 1 pair. Will it be ok after i put the screen top and removed the angel?

Will fire fish fight to death?
Thx

I put 4 in a 210 gallon and they all went to the same hole (hiding place). You could see them stacked like firewood. A week or so later there were three. Another week or so and there were two. Four years later, one often didn't come out but sometimes did. And that one then disappeared. Another six months and the last one disappeared. I attribute the first two deaths as rivalry. The last two, I think was lifespan, but I'm not sure. After the last one disappeared, I figured he was dead, but a few weeks later I saw him in a new hiding place, but I haven't seen him since.

Purple firefish don't tolerate conspecifics (unless already a mated pair) or other species of firefish very much. They will induce stress on others to the point of constant harassment or jumping.

I have to agree with jmm overall though. You will eventually be left with a single individual, maybe a pair.

Make sure your aquarium is completely covered as they are small and will find the tiniest of escape routes.

Agree. If you are lucky, you get a pair. If not you end up with 1 fish in DT and the others in the sump.
