Coral mucus?
Bacterial snot?

That first picture looks a little like what I had. It was some type of worm with a feather duster type head. I eventually stopped seeing them. Tried identifying them using the hitch hiker guide but couldn't find anything close enough to say, that's it.

Gone!

:oToday they are gone as quickly as they came......must be coral mucus or other transient stuff.. Thanks for looking.

Could be vermetid snail? They generally only spit out that when you are feeding.

I cut back on feeding and I don’t see them anymore. You could use reef epoxy or super glue gel to seal their tubes shut.

The pictures are pretty blurry, it could be spaghetti worms which are harmless detrivores.

Could they be Digitate Hydroids?

Dr RBG 05/21/2018 05:06 PM

I didn't see the short spiky branches like the pictures of Digitate Hydroids and don't see any tubes like vermetid snails. I will try to get better pictures Thanks for all the suggestions.
