Never mail ordered an anemone before and just got this green bubble tip in. Heat pack was pretty faint, bag had low water and he looked as the picture aka brown and beat to hell. Order also had some zoas in it and those were packed much better, I'll know more after dipping.

I currently have the bag floating in my sump on the off change he is savable. Is he toast or just REALLY angry? My concern is that he will die overnight and foul my 3 year established 150 DT.

Would it be possible to quarantine the bubble tip in my coral QT tank that just had Bayer dipped(and double rinsed) frags place in moments ago. I assume the Bayer may be the death blow if he is not already dead.

Poor guy is floating in a bag waiting on you're input.

Not dead, just stressed.

BTA are tough, also it looks stress, as fully expected during shipping. you should put it in QT, but dont treat it unless it is sick like infalte/deflate frequently.

Good news. Seems it was just new parent worries and the color is returning.

Thanks for replies

nems are frequently shipped with very little water.

looked stressed, seen worse that still made it, good luck, I think you will be ok, too bad you didn't have even a little QT or HT you had set up for the night

Pete, how is it looking today?

davocean 02/11/2018 06:43 PM

I agree nems are typically shipped w/ very little water, looks very typical of a newly shipped nem.
