Hi folks, anyone knowing this is safe for marine tank? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3d8bad8897.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
It only states pond/freshwater on the package so I would avoid it..
Are you having a nitrate problem? If you give some information on your system/current nitrate levels,etc... we can recommend a good direction to reduce it.. |

Yeah my thought too, will just use it in my freshwalter tank. Yeah I have hair algae at the moment and high nitrate levels circa 50ppm so massive. I have been using nitrate removal liquid for the last week, I will be doing a water change this week as it states to do that after a week. I don't have any turbo snails at the moment so will be adding those soon. All other parameters are at zero or 0.1ppm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
And how old is the tank?
What size tank? The "best" method for nitrate removal is simply doing water changes.. A 50% water change will reduce the nitrate levels by 50%... Carbon dosing (vinegar/vodka/red sea nopox) also works just fine when paired with a decent skimmer to export the excess bacteria,etc... |
100L, its a few years old... have continued water changes but still high, have increased the flow, and skim rate and dosing
