That sucks! I contacted TM and this is the reply:


"Thank you for your email and I am sorry for the issues you are having. The batch of Tropic Marin Pro-REEF that you got is a recent batch that had a low alkalinity. The alk of Pro-REEF should actually be more around 6-6.5 dkH. Please send me your mailing address. I will put a 64 oz. jar of Bio-CALCIUM in the mail to you. just use this in conjunction with your salt and that should solve the issue. You should not see this issue crop up again in different batches."

Not satisfied with the response. I explained the situation to the seller and they offered to send another bucket or give me a full refund. I took the refund and won't look back, what a shame. I'm doing some testing with D-D H2Ocean now. Good luck!
