Highest natural pH (no additives)

I set up a reef tank outside with ridiculous aeration...
I used RC salt (6 bags) and 300 gals of RODI.

I'm reading 8.45 post-cal... I wouldn't expect it to be that high so I suspect the cal fluids. I put the probe in the cal solutions and got 7 and 10.

Would fresh air (large surface + heavy air injection) drive so much CO2 out to drive the pH that high?
