Good deal, I was thinking of vinegar as well, better safe than sorry.
We got about 3/4 of the inside finished. Did the inside entirely once, only to find out that we didn't do the first grit of sand paper on the deeper scratches. We then started from the beginning, concentrating on the deeper scratches. I took a dry erase marker to the outside of the tank and drew over every scratch that was on the inside, it really helped.
Tomorrow we will be tackling the remaining 1/4 of inside, and do the outside. It's already so much better, I can't fathom how clear it's going to be with the outside done!
