Good news as far as I'm concerned. The less you have to add and monitor the better.

You can't mess up what isn't added in the first place.

The only reason I asked the question in the first place was because of the number of additives available from reputable companies and thought - somebody must be using these for good and reasons or they wouldn't be selling them. I was also once told that artifical seawater is sterile and lacked any of the vitamins found naturally in the water column around reefs. I was told not only did the fish get nutrition from eating food but from drinking the water as well....

Anyway, less hassle and less complication is a good thing.
