My current QT is setup just like a normal tank. LR, 2 powerheads, a heater, and no sand. I waited a few weeks for it to cycle properly so I wouldn't have this issue.

What about o2? Any airstone? Surface agitation with a PH might not be enough for all those fish.
As for visiting. I am slammed tomorrow so would need to be in April. I will have to look at schedule for those days as the 16th is my birthday and I might take off anyway.
