Starting with the DIY Stand
The previous tank was a black European modern style cabinet. I decided to go with that style again. The location near the stairs limited the tank size. To maximize the inside cabinet space, I decided to go with plywood construction, in lieu of 2x4 framing. used heavy duty casters rated 300 lbs. Lastly, I wanted a taller tank display to avoid leaning down to view.
Actual size cabinet lay out with the planned equipment, drawn on big sheet of paper. Then measured the picture for plywood panel cuts. (Sorry the drawing is light and hard see)
