These regulators are commonly used in clean rooms/labs where gas distribution is critical and must be precise at all times. It's a little overkill for our purpose but it's always good to have the best equipment especially you can build these systems for less than the price of the CarbonDoser. CarbonDoser is a single stage regulator. Inside the box below the regulator is an electronic valve which opens and closes very fast. The length of each time the valve opens and closes represents the amount of bubble per second. I'm not arguing that it cannot do the job. The bubble per second is only a visual measurement that lets us know how fast and how much CO2 is being distributed from the regulator. We should focus on the overall content of CO2 in the calcium reactor or inside the aquarium. For example if you are using a pH controller then you don't really need to know how many bps there is.
