Alright, I want to drill the tank today but, I need some input on the placement of the holes--this is what I had in mind:
This shows the flow idea and placement of holes (top down):
This shows the distance of the front CL holes from the edges of the tank:
This shows the backside of the tank including measurements:
Keep in mind my tank is braceless, so my main concerns are:
* Will my sequence (5000gph) make my tank over flow from the movement with my current placement of holes?
* Will 2 (3/4") holes do the same job as a 1.5" hole in terms of feeding my sequence CL system? I am thinking of doing it this way because I read from another post that it would reduce the chances of a critter getting cought by the suction...
* Is there a different placement that would help me achieve better flow and less dead spots?
Addl Info:
-Closed loop holes will be drilled for 1" bulkheads
-Closed loop feed will be drilled for 3/4" bulkheads
-Return holes will be for 3/4" bulkheads
-Drain will be drilled for 1.5" bulkheads (x2)
If you see anything wrong with what I am planning please let me know... Once I drill there's no going back, gulp. Thanks, Eli
