I am also in a 4 year controlled tour as a techschool instructor for 2T3XX (vehicle maintenance) I too see the increase in aptitude of the newer airmen. They question a lot more and get the info being taught a lot quicker. And to know that if they fail they can't reclass, they are out pushes them to study more.
Been in 16 yrs and celebrating passover today for master (missed it by less then 2 points) So next guy you put in for VM I'll definitely see him.
