jmlee, i had one of those tables. The legs are pretty sturdy, I thinhk it's got two metal bolts per leg right? Must sturdier than most stands you'll see at petco petsmart that's for sure!!!
Should be no problem for the tank, except you'll end up putting things on the extra space on the edge and pretty soon it's all clustered up.
