Wow. That's quite a compliment. Thank you. I think the colors and shapes are amazing. Mine are more old school--have had them for 3 years or more--real old school.

I am far from an expect on chalices. Given a base to follow, either sand bed, flat rock they plate pretty flat. But placed almost anywhere they start growing along the underlying structure, as to changing direction on growth. I believe they are called chalices because they ultimately like to cup. I have no idea where I got that information. Even when they change direction, it is still a thing of beauty. I think it is extremely majestic and powerful that nature through opportunity, flow and lighting will alter the growing edge directions whether it be up, down, along rockscape or up to the surface.
