This is the one thing I'm worried about. I'm going to have to stick to a diligent testing schedule, as I think you hit the nail on the head, things can go out of whack with less margin for error due to the smaller water volume. I may try and incorporate a storage bin and plumb it into the system to get my water volume up another 20 to 30 gallons, I have a room behind the tank that is used for storage, it is a crawl space, but accessible enough, and I plan on putting my electrical back there, with the interface for my RK tank side.
