I have had a JBJ for about 4 months now and I have absolutely no complaints. Also a buddy of mine has a Biocube and he has no complaints either. From what i've read and seen they are both good products. I think you probably just need to decide what your future plans are as far as upgrades or the use of optional HOB components(ie skimmer, reactor, GFO) Either way I would definately look at the InTank media baskets as an upgrade to either. Just go with whichever one you think works best for you. As far as the skimmer goes, personally I think it sucks, However, there are some on here that have used them with success but most end up upgrading regardless. If you go with the JBJ though I would suggest looking at the Drs. Foster and Smith website. They may still have the special going on that gives you the stand free with a 28G JBJ nano. Now as for why I went with a JBJ instead of the Biocube. I liked the design of the rear sump area better. Since it has two returns on seperate pumps and the overflow in the center it allows the use of a wavemaker which my system seems to really like. Again it just comes down to what your future plans and what your own personal preference is. Both are great products. So if your plans and ideas are supported either way, jut flip a coin and go for it.
