Raising your pH does have some benefits but as posted above it usually isn't worth the effort. You can run an oversized airline from your skimmer (assuming you have one) to outside the house and that often helps a little by introducing air with less CO2 into your skimmer. You can also use a reactor with a CO2 absorption media in it and feed that into your skimmer to raise your pH safely. If you pH is consistently below 8.0 measured with a calibrated pH probe then raising your pH will likely increase your stony coral growth rate.
