One of my favorite local dive and snorkel spots is Hens and Chickens reef in Islamorada, FL. It's usually a little crowded in season since it's an S.P.A. but in the off season it's just wonderful. Large schools of Atlantic Blue tangs, Queen Angels, Sea Turtles, various SPS, LPS, and soft coral. I was just there last week. Here are a couple of iPhone photos of the clear blue waters.
