Angry diatom algae!

I have some pretty nice saltwater aquariums, however still I find myself cleaning glass regularly, in addition to that, one of my aquariums is plagued by acoel worms which feed off of diatom algae.

I have tried a couple of different things for phosphate and silicate controll, kent phos spounge, pura phoslock, ect.

in our gathered experience what do you consider the most effective method of phosphate removal?
