I used to have a berlin classic and then a berlin turbo which occasionally pumped bubbles back into my sump and then into the display tank. I added a valve to the air intake so that I can throttle back the air. This helped to reduce the amount of air entering the skimmer and reduced bubbles coming out of the skimmer.
