I currently have a approximately 18" giga at the bottom of my 110g tank (30in high). The lighting is 4x110w VHO, two 10k, 1 true actinic, 1 actinic combo of some kind. I have only had him about a week. He opens up fully, looks great, secretes what looks like mucus (heard this is OK) with some excrement like particles in it, and generally seems healthy. He is on the bottom of the tank though, so I am wondering whether the light is really enough, or whether over time he will slowly starve due to lack of light. Please let me know what you think.
