Thanks to both of you. I don't have pics but I'm happy to announce no change whatsoever. STN stopped and as far as i can tell has not progressed. The little frag is starting to encrust some, though at this rate it will be 2020 or so before it fills the plug.
Once again, doing very little but visiting the tank and making sure equipment is working, plus a regular routine, works wonders.
