I use leds, I have bta in 2 tanks a nano and a 4ft. On the 4ft I have Arcadia white and blue t5 led and on my nano I have 2 cheap led lights, a both 1.5w led light and a lovefish 2.5watt led light pic attached, to me looks fine, admittedly on my main tank it looks more whiter but it is a gbta!
