We had one in our shop to evaluate. It is not a bad skimmer. We were running it next to a ASM Mini and a Coralife Super Skimmer 220. Of the 3, the CSS 220 skimmed the best.

The Terminator 2 has a lot of plumbing involved to make it work, it just seems to me that with that much plumbing, there is bound to be something that will go wrong.

The Terminator 2 needs a pump to feed it. Because of this you could use it external to a sump or in sump (if you have enough room).
