0.5 dKH per day isn't very much. My soft coral tanks ran through 2-3 dKH per day due to coralline growth. Depending on how quickly the corals and the coralline is growing (even though there's very little), 0.5 dKH per day might be reasonable. I'd check inside pumps and check the heater for buildup.
